I am so anxious to get this blog all "caught up" so that I can start writing the daily things that make my heart so happy. 

I am going to interrupt my catching up to write a little piece of that today.  I just spent the morning with three of my dearest friends; Kim, Brooke, and Audrey.  It's amazing what a good visit with incredible friends can do for the heart.  These are women that I adore, admire, appreciate and value so much.  So much of my life has been shaped by their kindness, their examples, and their love.  It is so refreshing and so invigorating to talk with them and relate our motherhood experiences and stories. It is so amazing to learn from them and get their advice and input on things that are weighing on my heart.  Oh how I appreciate wonderful friends.  Friends, that I know I knew before.  Friends that heaven undeniably placed in my life.  Friends that have blessed me beyond what words can describe.  Oh, how blessed I feel. 

I have always been amazed at how along the path of my life in each place or season, Heavenly Father has blessed me with the opportunity to get to know amazing people.  I have also been amazed at how those special and amazing people are the ones that have continued to be a part of my life and have continued to have such a profound influence on me.  I know that it is not a coincidence and I have a firm belief that I knew these people in heaven. We were dear friends there, like we are here and I feel like it is an incredible tender mercy from my Father in Heaven to let me have them as close and as dear on Earth.

Gunnar's Baby Blessing

 

We blessed Gunnar on October 12, 2014. 

We wanted our parents to all be able to attend so we waiting for

a good weekend to make that happen.

We were so thrilled that so many of our family members were

able to come and participate in this special occasion.

 

I always try to write down the blessings that Jimmy gives.

This time it was a little challenging, Jonas was trying to make a break

for the front and I had to hold onto him.

 

This is what was said in Gunnar's blessing:

 

He was born into a good family with all of his needs provided for him.

He was blessed that he would continue to be blessed with food , clothing, shelter, and

that when he gets married he will be able to provide the same things for his own family.

He was blessed with a healthy body and that he would continue to live a healthy life

and be physically strong.  He was blessed that he would be able

to participate in activities.

He was blessed with a strong mind and that he would be strong spiritually.

He was blessed that he would have a strong knowledge of

Heavenly Father and personal revelation.

He was blessed that he would know that Jesus Christ is his Savior and

that he made sacrifices and atoned so that we could be forgiven of

our sins and be resurrected. 

He was blessed that he would gain a testimony of the restoration of the priesthood

and the church and that at the proper age he would

be worthy and willing to be a priesthood holder. 

He was blessed that he would use that priesthood to serve his family and the people around him.

That when the time is right he will choose to be baptized and go to the temple. 

One day he would take a righteous young woman to the temple and have a

family of his own.  He was told that he was named after his

Great Grandfather Ted.  He was told that Ted is a great man and that

he should learn about him and follow his example.  He is a great teacher and loving

of everyone. 

He was told how much his family loves him now and how glad we are

that he is part of our family.

 

It was a beautiful blessing. 

Gunnar was restless and kept trying to sit up while he was receiving it. 

I love that baby.

 

Afterwards, we had our family and friends over for lunch at

our house. The house was filled and so was my heart. 

It was such and overwhelmingly wonderful feeling to have so much

love and support for the arrival of our Gunnar.

Gunnar 3 months

Oh how I love this baby.

Gunnar is now 3 months old.

He found his voice.

He likes to shriek and babble.
I love the sound of his little voice.

He is so happy and so mellow.

He kind of just goes with whatever and is happy to do so.

He is sleeping great. About 6 hours before needing a bottle or diaper change.

He is so sweet and snuggly.

This big boy is wearing 6 month clothes and I don't think

that will last long at all!

Oh, he is even super cute with his crying face!

He always wakes up SUPER happy with big smiles on his face,

even at 2 in the morning!

We have started trying some rice cereal.

He's not so sure about it and spits most of it out.

Gunnar 2 months

Gunnar Ted is two months old.

I am trying to make time slow down, but it's not working.

My baby is growing so much each day.

 

At two months, Gunnar is smiling  a lot. 
He also does this super cute snort when he breaths. 
He sounds like a little piggy and it melts my mother heart.

He is sleeping pretty good.  A good chunk of time, enough for

me to feel rested.  He loves to be held and swaddled up in his

blankets. 

 

He is so sweet and his siblings are loving him to pieces.

It's good to have a baby in the house again.
