Back to Iraq

Jimmy going back to Iraq after

his two weeks of R&R.

We had so much fun while he was home.

I have to say that I have a love hate

relationship with R&R.

Love it because of the obvious...my hubby

is home and we got to spend time with him and

it helps to break up the year....

Hate it because you just get used to having him

home again and it's time for him to leave, feels

like we are starting all over again with the

deployment blues,
seemed much harder to let him go this

time around...probably because

we now know what it feels like

to have him gone.

Madeline thinks Jimmy is on

an airplane. She cries for daddy or asks

for him a whole lot more lately.

We miss you sweetie. Can't wait for these next 5

months to pass so we can have you home again.

Pretty Dress

Aunt Natalie gave Madeline this

pretty dress for her "birthday."

She calls it her princess dress.

more fun with daddy

We had all sorts of fun while Jimmy

was home.

He is such an awesome dad and took

Madeline to do lots of fun things....

Madeline got to go here twice

because she had so much fun the first time.

We went camping in our livingroom and

even made s'mores.

We headed out to the Children's

Discovery Museum in Honolulu.

Jimmy and Madeline made

some of Jimmy's famous

chocolate chip cookies...mmmmm!

This handful was supposed to go into the

dough...smart little girl hurried and

shoved them in her mouth.

She gets that from her daddy.

My mom made these cute matching

aprons for me and Madeline.

Jimmy broke mine in for me.

Jimmy took Madeline to get slurpees.

and they went to the zoo...

I have a feeling Madeline is going to

be quite bored with mommy

for a while....poor girl.

My Three Loves

At the Beach with Daddy

Madeline was in heaven while

daddy was home.

Jimmy took her to do so many fun things.

One of those things was the beach....

Madeline loves it when Jimmy goes

spearfishing and brings home fish.

While Jimmy was home on R&R he went a few times

and brought home fish for Madeline. She

was thrilled and wanted to look at them constantly.
