Nothing like Christmas on the beach....

We headed out to the beach on the day after Christmas. We heard that there is a beach where sea turtles come onshore everyday. We headed over there and sure enough there were two HUGE sea turtles laying on the shore. They aren't even afraid of people! It was pretty cool. Everyday they are there...I think that's amazing. Jimmy overheard someone say that they have been coming to that beach for the last 10-15 years is all. So come and see us and we will take you to see them.

It started to rain when we were on the beach so we decided to head indoors. We went over to Cholo's mexican restaurant on the North Shore. It was unlike any mexican food I have ever eaten but it was really good!
It was a pretty great day! Madeline thought so too....

Christmas Day

Madeline woke up Christmas morning so sleepy eyed. It made me laugh. I promise we didn't wake her up, she woke up all by herself. I had to grab the camera because I thought it was so funny how tired she looked.
Trying to get daddy out of bed.
Madeline loved Christmas. She finally decided that she wasn't afraid of the Christmas tree. She didn't really know what to do with the wrapped gifts, but once they were unwrapped she couldn't get enough of her toys. I took her to feed her some oatmeal and she threw a fit. All she wanted to do all morning was play play play. We had a great day just lounging around the house in our pajamas and eating lots of food and just spending time together.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we get to open one present and it is supposed to be new jammies...I say supposed to be because Jimmy told me he didn't want new pj's so I didn't get us any...only little Madeline. To my surprise he bought me some and then tricked me into letting him open something different....sneaky, very very sneaky.
Here's Madeline in her cute new Christmas jam jams.
And the sneaky husband relishing in his sneakiness.
Just hanging out waiting for the lil' one to fall asleep. (Which is no easy feat these days!)
I love Christmas. This was our first year at our home and it was nice to just be home and relax and enjoy each other.

Hawaii Sheraton Bowl Game

What is Christmas Eve without a football game? Well, it's just not Christmas Eve! We went to the Hawaii bowl game and watched Hawaii get killed by Notre Dame. It wasn't an exciting game but it was still fun. We got to see the Chinooks do a flyover and Madeline threw her binki into no man's land. We had a lot of fun. Madeline loves to be out and about and so do we, especially in this beautiful Hawaiian weather!

The Big Island

Jimmy flew over to the big island for work. What a day at work! He wishes everyday could be like that one. Here are a few pictures that he took on the flight.

Our Christmas Letter

If you haven't recieved our letter yet, chances are you still will. We sent them out kind of late. If you don't get one please know that we do love you. I'm just not that organized and didn't get as many sent out as I would have liked to. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!!

Dearest Family & Friends,

It’s Christmastime and we are all ready to go
Spending it in Hawaii without the slightest hope of snow
Laying on the beach and soaking up some sun
Surfing the waves and having lots of fun

This year there are three of us sending you
warm holiday wishes
Madeline sends lots of hugs and slobbery kisses
At 7 months old, she’s smiley and constantly on the go
Her newest additions are two bright
white teeth on the bottom row
Her giggle makes us laugh and her
smile lights up the room
If you haven’t met her yet, we hope you
will have the chance to soon

Jimmy finished flight school and
his wings were pinned on
Two years of studying and studying and
studying have come and gone
He now pilots the Chinook,
the big monster of the sky
He has accomplished so much and
we are so proud of our guy

Being a wife and a stay at home mom
make Missy oh so happy
Her family is her everything and well,
she doesn’t want to get too sappy
She’s busy learning how to cook new things
and pretending she knows how to sew
You know, all of those fun things domestic divas
should know (ha ha)

The pups will be joining us soon and we can’t wait
to see their hairy little faces
They have been traveling with Grandpa and Grandma,
seeing lots of new places

We’re now stationed in Hawaii
on the island of Oahu
All we have to say about that is YAHOOO!
We have an extra room and in it there is an extra bed
So come to Hawaii and see us and you’ll
have a place to lay your head

May the love of Christ be in your heart
as we remember His life so dear
From our house to yours, we wish you a very
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Lots of love,
Jimmy, Missy, and Madeline (Boo & Ashes too)

Happy Anniversary!!

It was our 2nd anniversary on the 20th. Yahoo! I don't have any more of our wedding pictures on the computer so I will have to add more later. (for my sake). What a wonderful two years it has been! Let me just say and this may be mushy but hey it's for posterity. Ha ha. I am so so incredibly blessed. I never knew I could be so happy and feel so loved and love someone so much. I am so thankful for my Jimmy. I think we have it all. I am so thankful to know that we can be a family forever. Happy Anniversary sweetie! I love you!

Christmas Pictures

We also had some Christmas pictures taken and I think they
turned out pretty stinkin' cute too.
Most of them are in black and white because
Maddy lou was crying and her face
was all puffy and red...poor girl!
It was freezing cold and Madeline didn't feel
that great. She was teething at the time and was kind
of miserable. I love this picture because you
can see her little alligator tear on her cheek
and all she wanted to do was cuddle with mommy.
Gotta love those baby hugs.

I think these two pictures of daddy and baby girl
are so sweet. They sure do love each other and
you can see it in these pictures.
Madeline's face in this one makes me laugh.
I think at this point she was through
with pictures.
She was loving her shiny black shoes. We had to
take them off of her during some pictures just so we
could get her attention.
So excited about those shoes! Who wouldn't be??
Perfect little dimpled grin.
All bundled up.
Family sandwich.

Our Christmas card picture.

Cute as a button.
Just the three of us.

Fall Family Pictures

When we were in Utah, we had some family pictures taken with my family. It was pretty entertaining. It's pretty difficult to get a shot where everyone is looking when there are that many people and the photographer is in the picture. I think they turned out so cute and personalities are definitely reflected, especially with the kids. I would upload more but the files are so big and it takes forever! I'm not that patient! Here's my cute family...
