Noteworthy

Lucas stuck a green pea up his nose.  He then came and told me in a very panicked voice.  I messed with his nose and thought I got it out.  I wasn't too concerned because we just happend to have an appointment at the ENT clinic to check his ear tubes the very next day.   At his appointment I let the doctor know about the pea.  Sure enough, there was a pea stuffed WAY up his nose.  They had to strap Lucas into this mummy looking thing and then I had to lay over the top of his chest while two doctors used a vacuum type thing and then tweezers to get that pesky pea.  I couldn't stop laughing.  I don't know what it was but the whole thing was so funny to me.  Yep, still is.  Lucas handled it like a pro.  I thought he had learned his lesson...that was until we went to the movies and he stuck a popcorn kernel up his nose.

Jimmy still loves spearfishing.
He's still good at at it too.

This last time he went with his friend Rod they had  a shark encounter.
Jimmy usually always sees sharks when he goes.
This is how the story was told to me...
Jimmy had just shot a fish and was pulling it in when a huge shark bolted straight up in front of them
and then bolted straight down.  Jimmy knew that Rod had never seen a shark before now so he looked over to
see what his reaction was and he was freaking out.  They laughed about it and kept fishing.
They finished up and got the fish and swam back to the shore.
They got to where the water was shallow enough for them to sit and take their water shoes off.
Jimmy looked out in the water and saw two fins sticking out of the water.
The shark had followed them and came in far enough that his fins were sticking out of the water.
Creepy.
Not too sure how I feel about my husband being stalked by a shark.

Camping Bellows June 2012

My sister Natalie and her husband Nathan came to visit us
in June and we thought it would be fun to take them out to Bellows.
We camped overnight and then they came out in the morning for breakfast.
They would have camped with us, but Nat was taking pictures for a wedding
Friday night.

Our kids LOVE to camp.
This was the first camping trip for Jonas.
Tent all set up and ready to go!
Getting ready to sleep in the tent.

They started off on opposite ends and ended up like this in the morning.
This little guy ALWAYS sleeps good, at least when he's not in a tent.
Not sure what it was, but he was up crawling around all night long.
Tired, but still happy as can be...
Playing with potato bugs outside the tent...

Loving the dirt and the watermelon...
Jonas was so funny.  He loves different textures.
He would lay on the mat like this and slap the dirt.

Sneaking a treat...

Breakfast with Natalie and Nathan.
I feel really bad because we didn't get any pictures of us
with Natalie and Nathan.
We were so happy they came and stayed with us.
It was so nice to be around Nathan and have the opportunity
to get to know him better.
Our kids instantly fell in love with him and have not stopped
talking about him since they left.

Headed to the beach..,

Natalie and Nathan boogie boarding...

I love the pictures of the kite flying.
I remember watching them and taking pictures and something about it felt magical.
Looking at the pictures it still feels magical to me.
The kite didn't really get off of the ground because of crazy wind, but they had so
much fun and  you can see it.

My camera did something funky...
we can pretend it's an effect..or something.
Natalie and Nathan.

Madeline and Lucas with Natalie and Nathan
Jonas sound asleep on the beach.
It was so much fun!
We love camping, especially on the beach!

Jonas 7 Months

Jonas hit the 7 month mark.
I still can't get over how quickly my baby is growing.  I wish I could slow him
down just a bit.

At  7 months Jonas is CRAWLING!  He crawls all over the place!  It's funny because the second he learned how to
crawl he also learned how to pull himself up to standing.  He definitely gets around now.
He loves to follow me around the house and then when I stop he climbs up the backs of my legs.
He is still so HAPPY. He smiles at everything.
He LOVES Baby Signing Time and will sit and laugh at it.
He loves Madeline and Lucas and wants to be where they are as often as he can.
He is still a good eater and will eat what we eat for dinner as long as it is cut small enough.
He loves Otter Pops and Shaved Ice.
He loves the water.
He is super curious.
He loves to crawl up the stairs but is still figuring out how to climb down.
He is nearly 20 lbs and is getting too long for his rear facing car seat.
He is such a sweet heart and loves to be kissed and hugged.
He loves to be carried around by his big sister.
He still snuggles his blanket and sleeps like an angel.
He truly is a dream, a dream with beautiful blue eyes and the cutest dimples.

Funny that our kids are always half dressed or not dressed at all in pictures...
hey, it's just the way it is.
