Father's Day

I feel so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing husband, and
I feel so incredibly thankful for the wonderful father he is.
Our children are so blessed.
They have a father who ADORES them.
They have a father who puts them first and would do anything for them.
They have a father who finds his greatest joy with his family.
They have a father who would do anything to make sure they are happy and have a
wonderful life.
They have a father who works so hard to support our family.
They have a father who loves their mom with all of his heart.
They have a father who is selfless, trustworthy, reliable,
and simply
AMAZING.

He really is SUPER DAD!
We love you!
Happy Father's Day!

Back Surgery

My sweet husband had back surgery about a week ago.
He was hurting terribly and we decided the best thing to do was have surgery.
We are so thankful for technology and wonderful doctors.
We were talking about how just saying thank you to his doctor seemed so insufficient.
He fixed his back and because of what he did Jimmy can now walk and sit and lay down
without feeling like it might kill him.
Simply amazing.
The pain Jimmy felt is now completely gone.
He has 5 more weeks of recovery but things are looking great.
31 staples.

Late Night

What do you do when your kids don't want to go to bed?
On this particular night we decided to tickle Madeline and Lucas
and then take pictures.
Made for a fun night.

Splash Pad

We have had some perfect weather for the
splash pad!

Three Musketeers

These three monkeys love playing together.
It's so cute to see them having fun and enjoying each other.
The boys really look up to Madeline and it is the highlight of
their day when they get to play with her.
I think it's super sweet.

We are enjoying the warm, humid weather.
Most days are spent outside in swimsuits playing with sidewalk chalk,
or jumping on the trampoline with the sprinklers on.

We sure do love this little bunch.

Lucas

Just a few pictures of our sweet little Lucas.
I don't think I wrote about his tooth, so
this is a good picture to explain.
While in Hawaii, he fell off of a metal bench into
another metal bench...face first.
He bled all over the place and the end result was a blackened tooth.
He's still the cutest little 3 year old I have ever seen.
Lucas still loves his cars.
They go with him everywhere.
When we go in the car he fills up a bucket with them and brings them along.
There is almost always a car hidden in my purse.
At night they are frequently found tucked under his pillow.
One morning we woke up after him and he had completely lined Jimmy's body
with his cars.

The cars are also often found stashed like this, in random places all
over the house.

Love this little guy!

Grandpa Larry & Grandma Becky

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us in Alabama
and we LOVED every minute of it!
We had so much fun going to the beach, the zoo, the petting zoo,
eating yummy food, watching movies, playing perquackey,
going to the library, jumping on the trampoline, and just
playing!

One day Jonas was exhausted from a morning of sidewalk chalk and
jumping on the trampoline.  He snuggled right up to Grandpa and
they fell right to sleep.

We love you Grandma and Grandpa!

Madeline, the artist

Madeline LOVES to draw.
She's getting pretty good too.

Destin, Florida

We were itching to get out of the house
while Jimmy's parents were in town.
Jimmy hurt his back and long car rides were out of the question,
so we decided to head to Destin for the day.

The kids felt like they were back in their element.
The beach!
While it doesn't really compare to Hawaii, we'll take it and
love it anyway!

This little guy loved every minute of it,
even rinsing off for the ride home.

McClelland's Critters, Banks AL

We decided to drive to Banks, AL to visit
McClelland's Critters Zoo.
Have you seen the movie
We Bought a Zoo?
It's kind of like that.
We had so much fun.
We enjoyed it so much because it's so interactive.
Also, who knew monkeys and bears liked marshmallows so much?

They had a baby lion cub named Thor that we all got to pet.

Lucas liked letting the deer lick his fingers.

We watched them feed the tigers.
Madeline surprised us all by being SO BRAVE.
She held this giant snake and was the very first one to do it.

I am NOT a fan of snakes but how could I say no after my tiny little 5 year old held it
like it was no big deal at all?

Grandma resisted, but we eventually got her to hold the snake too.

Madeline also held a baby alligator.

Lucas touched it's teeth.
As we were leaving the owner let Madeline feed one of his goats.
I won't be surprised if this little girl grows up to be a veterinarian or something along those lines.
Probably the best zoo we have ever been to.
