Honolulu Zoo

We sure are going to miss this place.
We have it memorized from top to bottom.
We have been here at least a hundred times and
every time it's just as fun.

Reno

Jimmy had the honor of baptizing our friend Reno.
His story is a special one and we feel so blessed to have been a small part of it.
Knowing him has truly blessed our lives.

Kaneohe Bay Firestation

We were killing some time while waiting for Jimmy and Grandpa Larry to
finish up a golf game and decided to see if the firemen at Kaneohe Bay would
mind showing us around.

They were awesome and more than happy to show the kids their truck.
Ha, too bad the kids were EXTREMELY shy.
It was awesome.

The second we walked away, they couldn't stop
talking about how fun it was.

Waianae

We spent a morning out towards Waianae while Grandma
and Grandpa were in town.

We stayed just long enough to get sandy and look at the fishies.

Grandma Becky's Tea Party

We got to celebrate Grandma Becky's birthday with
her while they were in Hawaii.

Madeline REALLY wanted to throw a tea party for her.
So we did!
It was so much fun!
We dressed up and had cake and ice cream and tried to make Grandma
feel super loved!

Happy Birthday Grandma Becky!

New Years Eve

We have been experimenting with New Year's ideas
for little kids and I think we finally found a winner.

This year we finished up our Star Wars marathon in the afternoon.
Jimmy made some fudge...
And then we started the festivities.
We redecorated the Christmas tree with New Year's decorations.
There were balloons with times on them and inside each balloon was an activity to do.
Each hour the kids popped a balloon and we did whatever it said.
(We do it early so they actually go to bed before midnight...but hey, they have no idea!)

This year our activities included things like...

Make a New Year's hat.

Karaoke.

Play Board Games.
Have a Dance Party with glow sticks.

We also made treats and read books.
It was really a SUPER fun night!
Happy New Year!

Ko'Olina with Grandma and Grandpa

We spend a beautiful day at Ko'Olina
with Grandma Becky and Grandpa Larry.
The weather couldn't have been more perfect!

Christmas 2012

We were so lucky and were able to have Grandma Becky and Grandpa Larry
with us for Christmas.
They arrived at our house on Christmas Eve and we were so EXCITED.
It always feels a little more like Christmas when there's lots of family around.

We started our Christmas Eve with a few of our traditions.
We started our Star Wars marathon and opened our two presents...
one of which is always pajamas.

The kids were so happy to have Grandpa around to wrestle and
tickle them.

Lucas admiring his first present....

Christmas morning.....
Waiting to go downstairs...

So excited!  I love the look on Jonas' face.

We had a wonderful day.  We enjoyed being with each other.
The kids played their little hearts out.
Later that evening we had some friends over for prime rib and other yummy food.
It was a wonderful Christmas.
