Madeline turned the big 2 on the 23rd.
She looked so pretty in her dress and
I tried and tried to get a good picture of her
and this is what she gave me....
I can't believe our baby is 2!
Where did the time go?
It feels like she is growing up way too fast!
At 2 Madeline weighs 24 lbs...(not so sure it's accurate, she's closer to 20)
and she is 34 1/2 inches tall.
She is talking up a storm and loves to
be out and about discovering and learning.
She is counting to ten and learning her abc's.
She knows her colors and shapes and continues to show
interest in learning, learning, learning.
She loves books, the beach, the zoo,

She's definitely a busy body.
She loves to climb and get into everything.

Recenlty she has started to love all
things girl. We went shopping
for new clothes and I heard Madeline say,
"OH MOMMY! I like, I like!"
I turned around to see what it was and
she had a bunch of braceletts in her hand.
She loves pretty dresses and shoes, she loves
to have her fingernails and her toenails painted,
and she loves lip gloss.
She loves to dance and frequently asks
me to pop in a cd that Aunt Nat
made her so she can shake her booty.
Some of my favorite things
that Madeline has been saying lately are:
"Look!" (she will tell her turtle to look, or Ashes to look, or Baby
Lucas to look.) She wants to make sure everyone sees
what she sees.
"ya, okay"
"ya, alright"
"ya, okay....I know."
"What are you doing?"
"Do you hear that?" She always cups her hand to her ear when she says this.
"I hungry."
"Pretty."
"Baby Lucas, cute."
She is very observant and lets me know if I am
forgetting something, especially if I forget
to say a prayer at lunch or something. She loves
family home evening, especially when we do it with daddy
on the webcam. She loves getting the "Jesus book."
She loves nursery and her little friends.
She is a little stinker but a sweetheart at the same time.
I have had some teary moments in the past
few months and she never hesitates to
come over and wrap her arms around me and
tell me that she loves me.
She loves to laugh and have fun.
She plays and she plays hard.
She is so independent and stubborn. Ha ha.
I am amazed at how much she reminds me of myself.
Hopefully only the good parts of me are rubbing off
on her though. I am constantly amazed at this little girl
and I think she's the most beautiful little girl in the world.
I feel so blessed to have her in my life and feel blessed
to be able to be her mother. She teaches me so much and I would
do anything for a Madeline hug and kiss and a little, "I lub you mommy."
I wanted to post some pictures of Madeline over the past
two years and I ended up posting a ton because
they all brought back so many happy memories for me.
I was going to put them in order but it's too time consuming right now
and I have two kids who are ready for bed.
