35 Weeks and only 35 Days to go!

We have made it to 35 weeks! Yahoo! The weather is starting to heat up and my body's natural reaction to it is to swell up. So we're at a very swollen 35 weeks. Good thing I love flip flops. I put my running shoes on the other day and it was a super tight fit. Not a whole lot of new happening around here. We're just counting down the days and Jimmy is super busy studying. That's about it.
We saw some good movies this week: Baby Mama...funny, not as funny as I thought it would be but still had some funny in it. Lars and the Real Girl...really funny, weird, we liked this one and it made me cry. The Kite Runner....good, I was tired and kind of kept falling in and out of sleep but what I saw I liked....Singles Ward 2....haven't watched it yet but will let you know. Watched it and it was STUPID! That's all I have to say about that.

Whoooa swollen face!

Who Needs Sleep Anyway?

The Best Husband in the World!
I love my husband! I am amazed with everything he does. He recently started his Chinook course and has to wake up at 4 a.m. in order to be at the flight line on time and his day gets busier as it goes on and he doesn't stop until around 9:30 p.m. I don't know how he does it. For those of you who know Jimmy, you know that he loves his sleep. He's so good at what he does and he always puts his heart into everything and he's so good to me! Our pups have been sick the past few days and have needed to go out in the middle of the night. Who do you think takes them out? Not the girl that gets to sleep until whenever but my sweet hubby. He says it's because I'm pregnant and doesn't think twice about the fact that he has to get up in a couple of hours. After long days when he just wants to relax he takes the time to stroll around the block with me so I don't feel lazy. He never complains that I haven't accomplished one thing during the day....even when it's true. He tells my big swollen self that I'm beautiful everyday. He tries everything I cook...even if it is a little less than appealing and then he tells me what a great cook he thinks I am. He makes me laugh everyday. He makes me smile even when I want to pretend like I don't want to. He's just wonderful and I am so thankful for him and for everything he does for our family. He does stuff like this everyday. He makes me feel so ooey gooey loved. I sure am one lucky girl!

The Joys of 34 Weeks of Preggy
I am ornery. My poor husband. If he even says something remotely close to anything that can get twisted in my brain to sound like something else that is not even close to what he meant I hear it. Poor Jimmy. He's so good to me. He is seriously so patient and still tells me that I'm beautiful. What did I do to deserve him?
I can't get enough sleep. Who can blame me....look at the size of that belly? I toss and turn all night long and have to get up for at least 2 or 3 bathroom runs....so naps are my friend. I take them on a daily basis...sometimes more than one.

I have a protruding belly button. It is stretched to the point that it shows through my shirts. I got up this morning and got ready for church and all I could see was my belly button jutting out through my shirt so I tried a little trick.... hee hee. Jimmy thought this was funny and that I should post a picture on the blog....so here it is against my better judgement. My bare belly and band aid.

I have somehow lost my feet! This is me looking down....where are they? Gone..disappeared....no more.

When I turn on my oven and my stove to cook dinner I overheat like a Geo Metro in 100 degree weather. I went to cook dinner tonight and started sweating profusely to the point that I had to sit down periodically. As a result, my feet, hands and face....argh...not the face....soon the baby will be coming out my nostrils....anyway, they instantaneously swelled up like water balloons.

I want to know who said pregnancy was sexy? ha ha..that's a funny joke.

33 Weeks & A Baby Room

Lawn Mower & Haircuts

Jimmy wanted me to make sure that I explained that he was purposely sticking his butt out for the picture. He doesn't normally walk around like that. ha ha

And...the puppies got a haircut! Finally! I think Ashes looks really funny right after a haircut because of those HUGE ears. Here they are showing off their new look....

And then there's Jimmy again... Oh by the way, Jimmy started his Chinook course today! Hooray! Three and a half months from now and he will be a trained Chinook pilot!

Moving Is Hard Work!
We love our new place! It is so nice and the backyard is wonderful. The puppies act like they are in heaven everytime they walk outside. That in itself made the move worth it. I will post pictures, just not yet. I currently have a big pile of things to be unpacked sitting right smack in the middle of my livingroom. Best of all, I have no intention of touching that pile tonight!
We actually got to watch conference on our televsion in the comfort of our own home. It was beautiful. Thank heavens for Direct TV! We had a bunch of our wonderful friends over and I wish I would have taken pictures because there will be a day when I will look back and think...I wish I had a picture of all of those people...like right now!
I'm pooped. Time for bed!

My Grandma Horrocks died on April 3rd. I have come to the conclusion that I don't know how to react to death. I have never had anyone close to me die before. She was in so much pain for so long and knowing that she doesn't feel that anymore makes me happy. I am so thankful for the gospel. I can't imagine losing those that I love so much without having the certainty that I will see them again and life is eternal and families can be forever.
My grandma was a wonderful woman. I can remember sleeping over at her house when I was a little girl. She would save stickers for me and everytime I went she would give me tons of them. I always looked forward to it. I remember the smiley face pillow and the wafer cookies or chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar. I remember eating chives that we would pick from their backyard. My favorite memory of her is her smile. It seemed like no matter what she always had a smile on her face. She will be very missed.
My sister Natalie wrote and read this poem at her funeral. I think it's perfect.
